EBSCOhost will be changing on 14th July 2026. You do not need to create a new personal account. However, not all of your saved content will transfer over to the new version automatically.

My Folder content

Articles and Saved Searches in My Folder will transfer to the new version.

Persistent links to searches and search/publication alerts will not be transferred.

My Custom content

Custom folders and the items within them will not transfer over to the new version. To check whether you have custom folders in EBSCOhost:

  1. Log in to an EBSCOhost database:
  2. Sign in to your MyEBSCO account
  3. Click on Folder
EBSOChost toolbar showing steps 2 to 3 above.
  4. If you have any custom folders, they will appear under ‘My Custom’.
My Custom folder list described in step 4 above.

If you have created custom folders in the old version of EBSCOhost you have some options to preserve the information.

Move content from custom folders to My Folder

To make sure articles and saved searches are transferred to the new version you can move the contents of your custom folder(s) to My Folder before 14th July.

  1. Expand the custom folder by clicking on the name or plus sign
  2. Select Articles or Saved Searches
  3. Tick the box to select all
  4. Select My Folder under Move To.

Export articles as references

You can export articles from a custom folder to RefWorks or another reference management platform before 14th July, using the following process:

  2. Select Articles
  3. Tick the box to select all articles
  4. Click Export
  5. Select the format which you would like to export the citations in and click Save.

Download EBSCO folder report in new interface

For a limited amount of time it will be possible to download a report of your folder data on the new version. This data is in the form of a spreadsheet and cannot easily be rerun or inputted into a reference management platform.

  1. Log in to the new EBSCOhost interface and sign in to MyEBSCO with same details as for old interface
  2. Click on your name and select Projects
Options in MyEBSCO showing Projects in step 2 above
  3. Click on Get report
Get report option in step 3 above
  4. Select Download report.
