Dragon dictation and voice input software is available for use in the Library Assistive Technology Rooms (ATR).
To use the software you will need a microphone positioned close to your mouth. You can borrow a headset from the Library Help Desk.
- Find the shortcut to the Dragon software on the computer desktop.
- If it is the first time you are using the software, follow the onscreen instructions to create a profile.
Export your profile
Is it a good idea to export your profile to OneDrive or your desktop, so you can access it from any other ATR computer. You can do this through the Dragon menu Profile - Manage User Profile - Advanced.
Custom commands
With Dragon you can create voice short cuts which performs and action or inputs a longer piece of text for consistency in your work.
To add new auto text go to Tools - Command Center - Add New Auto-Text.
