Follow the advice below if you are getting a User ID or password incorrect message when logging in to library resources but can access your email and Moodle.
New password
It can take longer for a password change to update for the library resource login than for other systems. If you changed your password wait for at least 40 minutes before you log in to a library resource (such as a database, e-book or article). When you try again, the following steps are recommended:
- Open a private or incognito window
- Make sure you are entering your details manually rather than using any password saving software.
Locked account
Too many failed log in attempts will lock your account. Wait for at least 30 minutes before trying to log in again. If you are still getting the User ID or password incorrect message, contact IT to unlock your account. When you try again, the following steps are recommended:
- Open a private or incognito window
- Make sure you are entering your details manually rather than using any password saving software.
