How to register for a LSEG Workspace account

  1. Go to the LSEG self registration portal.
  2. Enter your @city.ac.uk or @bayes.city.ac.uk email address and click ‘Next.’  
  3. You will receive a verification email. Click on the link in the email. If the email does not arrive, please check your junk folder.  
  4. Please complete all the fields in the registration form:  
    1. Enter your First Name and Last Name.  
    2. In the ‘Reference’ drop-down menu, select your user type. 
    3. Product will be Workspace for Students. This includes the Workspace Excel add-on.  
    4. Select the optional add-ons you require. You will have to repeat this for each add-on. Available options are:
      • Datastream Add-on Workspace for Students
      • SDC Academia Workspace - All User Access (for SDC Platinum)  
  5. If you require access to After Market Research (Analyst Reports) please send an email requesting the add-on to businesslibrary@citystgeorges.ac.uk.
  6. Tick the box to agree to the privacy statement.  
  7. Click on Register Now.  
  8. LSEG will send registrations to the library once a day. Your account will then be approved and created by library staff.  
  9. You will receive a ‘Welcome to LSEG email.’ This can take up to 6 hours (excluding weekends).  
  10. Click on the ‘Get LSEG Workspace’ button.  
  11. Enter your LSEG Workspace User ID and create a password.  
  12. You can then either download LSEG Workspace onto your own Windows device or use the web version. 

Your account will expire after 7 days. You can request a new account, once the account has expired.
