Read&Write is a collection of tools that support reading and writing. It works with Word, PDF, and web pages, with a key feature being the text-to-speech reader.
Read&Write for Windows (desktop version)
You can use Read&Write on any student Windows computer at City St George's (Clerkenwell and Moorgate campuses). Launch it from AppsAnywhere, which opens automatically when you log in to a student PC. This application is available on campus only.
Read&Write browser extensions
The Read&Write extension for Edge and Chrome browser can be enabled on campus. This will activate the Read&write floating tool bar which can be used with webpages or Microsoft Word online.

How to login to use the extension
- For easy access, 'pin' the extension, so it is visible in your browser.
- Click the icon to activate the floating toolbar.
- When prompted choose 'sign in with Microsoft'
- Enter your @city.ac.uk, @citystgeorges.ac.uk, or @sgul.ac.uk email address.
- Choose 'For Education' when prompted

Read&Write ePUB reader
To read ePubs with the Texthelp ePub Reader, you can choose to open them from Google Drive, from within the Texthelp ePub Reader app, or download the TextHelp ePub Reader to your Windows or Mac desktop. The online ePUB reader is compatible with the Read&Write toolbar in the browser.
